Managerial, Supervisor, and Sr. Archivist Positions: Education and/or Experience
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from fully accredited four-year college or university in computer science, geology, biology, environmental science, earth science, agriculture, physics, chemistry, engineering or any of the natural sciences. A college transcript documenting an overall G.P.A. of > 3.0 is required of all applicants contacted for an interview and employment.
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from fully accredited four-year college or university in library and information sciences with an emphasis on electronic data management, storage, encryption, cyber security, and recovery. A college transcript documenting an overall G.P.A. of > 3.0 is required of all applicants contacted for an interview and employment.
Jr. or Entry Level Archivist-Data Management Positions: Education and/or Experience
NESAD™ will also consider qualified candidates with associates degrees or other applicable or related educational background. NESAD™ recognizes that the best employees are often the most motivated employees… not the most educated ones. Email us if you think you may qualify.
Other Helpful Qualifications: Superior verbal and written communications skills, time-management skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks in a challenging work environment. Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, spreadsheets, and geocoding (training provided if needed).
Physical Demands
Success in this position includes meeting some physical demands. The requirements listed below are representative of the physical capabilities needed to perform the position duties. The employee is frequently required to reach overhead with hands and arms, to talk, and hear. While performing the position duties, employees are frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle, manipulate objects, build materials, and feel (tactile sensation). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-pounds. Specific vision abilities needed by this position include close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
